Research Nurse - Icu / Te Puna Wai Ora

About the roleBased within Te Puna Wai Ora, this role facilitates Critical Care research and the associated educational requirements of the wider team for the ongoing support of implemented research activities.

They will be responsible for ensuring all research activities meet legislative and clinical trial requirements.Salary band – $81,000 - $106,000 p.a pro-rata and Kiwisaver0.6 FTE / 48 hours per fortnightHealth New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.Some of the key tasks will include the following : Liaising with patients, staff and other relevant partiesAssessing patient criteria for inclusion in research, which may involve an on-call component via phoneProviding education and support to staff regarding the specifics of ongoing projectsMaintaining trial data requirements including coordinating patient tests and appointmentsResearch data processing and reporting adverse eventsTe Whatu Ora – Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
