Our Business Technology Group provides and manages PoriruaCity Council's computing environment, IT infrastructure and informationmanagement.

This includes managingPCs, laptops, telephony, software andapplications, networks, record keeping, officialinformationandsecurity.

About the role

We're looking for a dynamic Manager Business TechnologyOperations to lead a team and keep Council's systems running reliably,securely, and efficiently.

This is a fixed term role until 30 September

This role is about more than technology—it's about people.You'll inspire and mentor a talented team, deliver outstanding customer-focusedservice, and introduce new solutions that make a real difference for ourorganisation.

What you'll do

Leadand support a high-performing operations team.

Overseeday-to-day IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.

Drivenew technology projects and improvements.

Providetrusted advice to the CIO and senior leaders.

Buildpositive relationships across Council and beyond.

About you

You'll need to show us that you have :

Strong leadership skillswith a people-first approach.

Proven IT operationsmanagement experience in an Information and Cyber Security, InformationTechnology, Service Desk Management or Operational Delivery role

Broad knowledge of ITSystems, Infrastructure and Information Security principles and practices.

Broad understanding ofIT principles associated with networks, internet, email, operatingsystems, firewalls, VPNs, databases, AV management and intrusiondetection.

Ability to communicatetechnical concepts and align them with business goals and objectives.

A balance of strategicthinking and hands-on know-how.

A high level ofresilience and the ability to cope with change
