Grow your career with purpose and impact.
Are you passionate about project planning, coordination, and making a real impact? Join our Investment Operations team and help deliver impactful science investment for Aotearoa New Zealand. We are looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented Investment Coordinator to join our collaborative and inclusive team.
As an Investment Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering science funding rounds across MBIE’s science investment funds (e.g., Catalyst Fund). Working closely with fund teams, legal, communications and other stakeholders, you will help ensure funding rounds run smoothly, from timeline planning and contract administration to stakeholder support and continuous improvement. You will apply best‑practice funding operations to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
Alongside planning and coordination, you will provide technical support to funding applicants and contract holders, test funding templates in our online system, and prepare basic reports and analysis to support investment processes.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in project planning and coordination, while gaining hands‑on experience in funding operations and stakeholder engagement. Your work will contribute to delivering investment funds that support programmes building high‑performing science and innovation systems.
The Investment Operations team sits within the Science System Investment and Performance Branch. We value collaboration, communication, respect, accountability, and professionalism. Diversity is important to us, and our managers are committed to supporting staff in their career development.
