We are seeking a registered teacher to help facilitate meaningful, play-based learning and support smooth transitions to kura.

This is a part-time position of 25 to 30 hours per week, with the possibility of a four-day week.

About us :

Our welcoming centre has calm, well-resourced rooms for infants, toddlers, and young children, plus a spacious outdoor area with real grass, flowers, and trees.

We grow vegetables in our garden, care for worm farms, and make the most of our neighbourhood with regular excursions by bus to the library, local parks, shops, and our next-door neighbour, Western Heights Primary School.

Thoughtful provocations, art, and inquiry turn everyday moments into rich learning, and partnership with parents anchors everything we do.

About you :

ECE or Primary qualification + current NZ teacher registration

Huge energy and genuine warmth; nurturing, child-centred practice

Confident with Te Whariki; strong planning / curriculum with regular and emergent reviews

Builds responsive, trusting relationships with tamariki, whanau, and staff

Excellent, clear and kind communicator

Partners with families to celebrate progress and plan next steps
