The RoleThe primary role of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Solution Advisor is to focus on presenting the value of our Supply Chain portfolio.
This Solution Advisor possesses advanced / expert-level knowledge of supply chain operations and business processes, and can understand the customer's SCM complexity and showcase the value of our solutions to customers.The Solution Advisor interacts with prospective customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations, and follow-up discussions.
The primary goal is to gain acceptance from the customer that the SAP solution can solve the customer's problem and is the right choice over other competitive offerings.The Solution Advisor is knowledgeable in SCM business processes, adoption of new technologies, and can derive additional value from experience with cloud implementation best practices.Main ResponsibilitiesCompose and deliver superior sales presentations covering SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customer audiences.
The presentations must articulate the value message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression on audiences, including senior company executives.Prepare and deliver value-based engagements to support sales cycles.
Preparation includes personalizing materials to ensure a simple, appealing, and compelling customer presentation.Conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer to build relationships and understand their unique needs.Demonstrate deep knowledge of software solutions and appropriate industries.
Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.Support RFI & RFP completion in support of customer proposals.Effectively present to customers in a virtual environment using virtual technologies such as Zoom or Teams.Leverage support teams such as Global / Regional Solution Specialists, Center of Excellence, Industry Value Engineers, Solution Hubs, Deal Advisors, Solution Experience teams, and Product Management.Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and virtually.Lead and support Design Thinking workshops to promote new and innovative solutions for customers and prospects.Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.Develop close relationships with market unit sales teams to promote effective sales methodologies.Serve as a champion for or participate as a leader in Line of Business or Solution Hubs and provide knowledge transfer to colleagues as needed.Qualifications and Experience – Do yours line up?
