Kapiti College seeks a skilled English teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for one year.

We are looking for an individual who can confidently teach English across Y9 to Y13.ResponsibilitiesDeliver English instruction across Years 9–13, aligned with NCEA assessment requirements.Support students\' learning and wellbeing, building knowledge, resilience, and confidence to make progress.Collaborate with colleagues to support the success of the English department and the wider school.Engage learners with a student-centered approach and adapt teaching to a range of levels.Contribute to a reflective, team-focused teaching environment and uphold the school\'s values.Qualifications and attributesCertificated teacher with eligibility to teach English in secondary / wharekura settings.Strong understanding of NCEA assessment requirements.Energy, expertise, and a collaborative, positive approach to teaching and school life.About Kapiti CollegeOur strong connection to Parihaka Mai Ai values underpins all we do.
