We seek a knowledgeable, innovative, and passionate English teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2026 academic year to cover staff release time.

The hours (.5FTTE to 1FTTE) for this fixed-term position can be flexible to the skills and needs of the applicant.

The role involves teaching English across all year levels, from Y9 through to NCEA Level Three.

We are looking for a kaiako with a strong background in English literature and language, who is committed to role-modelling a love of learning and is continually focused on enhancing their practice.

The successful candidate will join a supportive, collegial, and well-resourced department within a vibrant, high-performing kura that encourages and empowers every akonga to achieve success.

Both experienced teachers and beginning teachers are encouraged to apply.

Beginning teachers will have access to an effective PCT programme, designed to support an individual's growth and development.
