Westpac is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Transactions Disputes Officer to join our team.
Mo te Turanga | About the Role
Providing high-quality service to resolve disputed card transactions for both cardholders and merchants.
Applying Mastercard chargeback rules accurately and promptly to ensure fair outcomes for our customers and the bank.
Demonstrating empathy and educating customers on dispute outcomes, even when unfavourable.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to team-wide enhancements.
Participating in cross-training to boost personal development and team capability.
Ensuring the effective, timely, and accurate delivery of a high level of customer experience for all internal and external stakeholders.

A strong understanding of relevant regulatory obligations, ensuring our processes remain compliant while operating efficiently and effectively.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
Experience in banking, financial services, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
