Opportunity

We are hiring a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Professor or Associate Professor to make significant impact in teaching, research and service.

Applicants from any law area are welcome, particularly those who can contribute to teaching or research across our programmes.

About you

Qualification : Completed research LLM

Teaching and Learning : Significant undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing experience, course design, practical sessions and tutorials

Curriculum development : Ability to contribute to innovative curriculum and high-quality course content, including emerging technologies

Postgraduate supervision : Proven ability to attract postgraduate students and supervise to completion

Research and Scholarship : Strong track record of research outputs, publications and external grant applications

Collaboration : Established relationships with peers within and outside the University, industry and professional bodies

Editorial board : Appointments or guest editorship experience on reputable law journals, conference track chairing

Leadership and Service : Proven record of academic leadership and service, engagement with external community members, industry and media

Equity and Te Aronui : Champion for equity, support the school on its Te Aronui journey

Salary ranges : Professor – NZD $162,608 to $209,052; Associate Professor – NZD $148,548 to $171,983
