Data Engineer

Overview

NZME is on the hunt for a talented Data Engineer to join our Commercial Platforms team. This is your chance to architect and maintain the data platforms that power our business decisions, insights, and innovation. From cloud to on-premise, you’ll be at the heart of our data transformation journey—enabling Analysts, Data Scientists, and stakeholders to unlock the full potential of our data.

Responsibilities

• Designing and deploying robust data pipelines and APIs (RESTful & SOAP).
• Supporting and optimisation on-premise SQL Server databases.
• Enabling analytics through scalable data models and clean datasets for tools like Power BI.
• Collaborating across teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Upholding data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.

You’ll also champion CI / CD practices, API security protocols, and data quality frameworks—making sure our data is accurate, timely, and trusted.
