You’ll be part of Lotto NZ’s Data & Analytics team, sitting within the Innovation & Product division. Reporting to the Data Engineering Lead, you’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, IT, and senior leaders to deliver high-quality, accessible data that powers insights and decision-making across the business. The team focuses on building a modern, cloud-based data platform using tools like Databricks and Azure. You’ll contribute to projects ranging from enriching customer insights to optimising reporting pipelines and help Lotto NZ maximise the value of its data.
A Bit About You
As an experienced data engineer or cloud data specialist, you’ll be passionate about turning raw data into meaningful insights and proud of the impact your work makes. You will have :
Strong experience building and managing data pipelines in cloud platforms (ideally Azure and Databricks)Advanced skills in SQL and Python, with a knack for solving complex data problemsA solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and relational databasesExperience working with structured and unstructured data, and making it accessible for a range of usersA keen eye for data quality and governance, and the ability to spot and fix issues proactivelyConfidence presenting insights and working with senior stakeholdersA collaborative mindset and curiosity to explore new data sources and technologiesA tertiary qualification in computer science, data, or a related fieldSeniority level
