We work passionately to prepare our students to be 'work ready, world ready' for an industry we love.About the RoleWe are looking for a Lecturer to deliver the highest standards of teaching and research in Business Informatics, with a focus on Business Analytics, by ensuring optimum learning environments for students enrolled in our Master of Business Informatics programme.Key Responsibilities will include : Leading lectures, tutorials, and practical workshops that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience.Making sure study programmes are current, cutting-edge, and reflect a depth and breadth of disciplinary expertise in business analytics.Designing and delivering appropriate student assessments and providing effective and timely feedback.Contributing to the research and publication output of Yoobee College of Creative Innovation and the faculty through participation in appropriate research projects.Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment for students.QualificationsAbout You / Key RequirementsHold (or currently pursuing) a PhD degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems with a focus on Business Analytics, or a closely aligned discipline, with a demonstrated record of published research outputs.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.Understanding of student learning and effective teaching methods.Knowledge of current trends and practices in the Business Analytics field, including advanced data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence.Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.Must have evidence of student project supervision with prior teaching / industry experience in business analytics or related fields.Actively involved in research demonstrated by high-quality journals / conference papers in business analytics or related areas.Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga, kawa of cultural practice and traditions, and valuing te reo Maori.Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Effective networking skills to maintain links with current practice in the professional arena to provide opportunities for students in business analytics.Experience participating in innovative research programmes relevant to business analytics.We are an equal opportunity employer.
