We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of our people while driving continuous improvement in our health, safety, and risk practices.Reporting to the Safety & Risk Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, support, and coaching across the site.
You'll work closely with operational leaders, Health & Safety Representatives, and employees to embed safe systems of work and foster a proactive safety culture.This full-time, 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover role offers you the opportunity to make a real impact on our safety culture, with the scope to influence and drive change across a complex and dynamic manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of health, safety, and risk management systems and initiatives.Provide coaching, training, and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on H&S practices.Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Monitor compliance with legislation, company policies, and industry standards.Analyse safety data and provide insights to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Actively engage with Health & Safety Representatives and promote worker participation.Contribute to wellbeing, injury management, and return-to-work processes.About YouRelevant Health & Safety qualificationPractical experience in a health & safety role within manufacturing, industrial, or similar environmentsStrong knowledge of NZ Health & Safety at Work legislation and best practiceAbility to influence, coach, and build strong relationships at all levels of the businessProactive, solutions-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsConfident communicator with the ability to engage and motivate othersReady to join us?
