St Joseph's School Pleasant Point is an integrated Catholic primary school from Y1–8 offering education with a special character. We are a small school but a big family of 48 students. Located in a beautiful rural setting in small-town South Canterbury, we are perfectly positioned. We are looking for a NZ registered teacher with strong values to join our friendly team.
The applicant must have a good understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and be competent in its implementation. Although these positions are 'untagged', a willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction aligned with our special character is a condition of employment (Clause 47, Schedule 6 of the Education and Training Act 2020). A definition of "religious instruction" is provided at schedule two of the letter of offer of employment. The successful candidate will need to be committed to ongoing professional development and be an active learner. An ability and passion for teaching in the senior area of the school will be advantageous. We offer a very supportive environment with a strong emphasis on family.
If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
