Timaru Christian School is a non-denominational Y1–10 school in Timaru, South Canterbury. With a roll of around 165, maintaining a sense of community based around our shared Christian values is important to us.

We have 2 permanent positions available, starting on 28th January 2026. The positions are in the primary school and the actual level can be negotiated based on the successful applicants' strengths.

It is essential that the applicant(s) have a willingness to get involved in the wider life of the school. They must uphold the Special Character of the school and have a willingness and an ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the school. Teaching from a Christian Worldview perspective is an essential condition of appointment.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The successful applicant will be expected to have a strong commitment to our Christian values and be able to teach from a Christian Worldview perspective.
