OverviewMake a real impact by using geospatial tools to support conservation, biodiversity, and taiao restoration across Aotearoa.Work in a supportive, kaupapa-driven team that values innovation, collaboration, and protecting whenua Maori.Salary ranges from $80,054 to $101,142 depending on skills and experience.

He oranga taiao, he oranga tangata.Mo te turanga | About the roleNga Whenua Rahui is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Information Analyst to support the development, deployment, and administration of geospatial and web-based solutions within an ESRI environment.

Every day brings something new, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-impact work that supports conservation efforts across Aotearoa.As our new Information Analyst, you'll contribute to both day-to-day geospatial tasks and long-term strategic projects.

Your work will directly support pest control and environmental monitoring efforts across NWR managed covenants throughout Aotearoa.

Working closely with our Manutaki, you'll provide essential geospatial support to teams involved in : Threatened species protectionEcosystem restorationAnimal and plant pest control programmesThe position will be focused on : Develop and maintain GIS solutions using the ESRI software suite, including web maps, dashboards, and field data collection toolsProvide geospatial analysis and mapping support for pest control, ecological monitoring, and conservation projects across NWR covenants.Manage spatial datasets and databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and effective integration with operational workflows.Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand spatial needs, provide technical support, and deliver user-friendly GIS tools and resources.To thrive in this role, you'll be a team player who enjoys collaborating with others and sharing knowledge.

You'll have the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, offering support and guidance when needed.

Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine passion for supporting the protection and enhancement of te taiao across Aotearoa.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceWe're looking for someone who brings a solid foundation of GIS expertise, along with a practical understanding of digital tools and systems that support conservation and land management.

Ideally, you'll bring : If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you : Minimum of 5 years' work experience in GIS.A bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, IT, Engineering, or a closely related field.Use of ESRI software stack, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Collector and Survey123.Knowledge of GPS devices and interacting with GPX data for geospatial analysis.Experience in data conversion, database management, and GIS digitisation and analysis.Develop, deploy, administer, and maintain web-based GIS applications and solutions.Digital development skills and experience with FME.Good interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills – with a natural desire to support and assist others.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Detail orientated with problem-solving skills and demonstrated organisation management abilities.Contribute toward quality assurances and continuous improvement of spatial processes.New Zealand full Driver's licenceWhat's in it for you?
