Role
The Data Analyst helps deliver and improve on the Ministry's collection and processing of strategically important data that support our monitoring of education system performance.
Our Data Analysts must identify and problem-solve data integrity issues, communicate well with stakeholders and deliver high quality data to deadlines.

Salary
Salary range : $74,815 - $90,347 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.
About you | Mohou ake
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working with data, in particular the collection, cleansing and quality assurance of large datasets.
You will also bring
a good working knowledge of data-processing or statistical analysis software, such as SQL or SAS
strong organisation skills to prioritise your own workstreams
the ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
good knowledge of the schooling sector would be a distinct bonus
the ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct
About our group and team | Matau ropu ake
At Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga | Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to akonga and whanau.
Te Mahau is a section of Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga which provides services and support for schools, kura and early learning services, sector leaders, akonga and whanau.
Te Pae Aronui is a group within Te Mahau established to help drive a focus on equity by connecting across the Ministry and providing expert support and services to Te Mahau's regional teams.
The Schooling Data Team are responsible for data business processes such overseeing the secure collection of priority administrative data from schools as well as ensuring all elements of data quality of that data and efficient data processing.
We also manage relationships with the many providers and users of that data.
