Key Job ResponsibilitiesRebuilds and refurbishes frames, housings and similar structures by forming, straightening and reshaping existing steel sub-components and / or removal and replacement of details worn or damaged beyond reuseManufactures new frames, housings and similar structural sub-components using new parts and materialsUtilizes torches, MIG, TIG, Carbon-Arc, Gas Shielded Arc, and other gas welding equipment in conjunction with knowledge and experience in welding techniques and metal characteristics to perform job dutiesPerform casual mechanical assembly on machine rebuilds (basic tasks not requiring specialized mechanical training or technical expertise)Operate overhead and jib cranes, fork trucks and powered hand toolsOperate Iron Worker, brake press and various sized positionersOperate Boretech welding machine and fixturesQualifications / RequirementsAbility to pass a structural welding test in flat and vertical processes.

Welding Certification.

AWS or equal Certification.2 - 4 years structural welding experience in heavy equipment manufacturing and / or remanufacturing environment.Read, understand, repair and manufacture steel structures using blueprints, drawings and other OEM or customer specifications and diagrams.Read and correctly interpret standard AWS as well as universal welding symbols.Familiar with basic functions and operations of parts positioning machines.Key Skills - Required by KomatsuCOLLABORATION - Working together with one or more people to complete a project or task or develop ideas or processes.ADAPTABILITY - Having the ability to adjust to changes in their environment.HUNTER MENTALITY - A combination of traits that can help someone achieve their goals with consistency and precision.BUSINESS ACUMEN - Having the ability to understand business situations and make sound decisions that lead to successful outcomes.APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE - Being able to use what you\'ve learned to make decisions and complete tasks in different situations.LEADERSHIP - The ability to guide, influence or lead others to accomplish a shared goal.Hiring RangeAt Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.
