Heavy Diesel Mechanic

About the opportunity : Due to growth within the company, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic Foreman to join a dynamic team in Lower Hutt.

Our client is a well-established company that values its staff and has a strong reputation in the industry.

Working in a busy workshop, you will be hands-on while also supervising, mentoring, and leading a team of mechanics.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and completing preventive maintenance on a variety of trucks and heavy vehicles.

This role works Monday to Friday with occasional half day on Saturdays as required.

Key responsibilities : Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of mechanics in their daily work.

Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks and heavy vehicles.

Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.

Collaborating with the team to achieve high-quality results.

Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
