Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.DesignationLead, Data ScientistResponsibilitiesLead and grow the data science practice in Mediacorp, including guiding and mentoring a team of data scientistsAnalyse and translate large amounts of data into meaningful, actionable insights for commercial purposes by applying various machine-learning and deep learning techniquesLead, design and implement quantitative analytical models, including forecasting and predictive models, identity graphs, recommendations and various performance optimization initiatives to enhance business outcomesEstablish internal benchmarks and best practices in data science approachesSupport product development effort including understanding business needs, documenting data and data integration requirements, and resolving conflicting business / data architecture rulesBecome an internal authority on Mediacorp's data tools and data science outputSupport ad-hoc data science strategic initiativesQualificationsPhD or MS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science or related fieldMinimum 10 years hands-on experience in machine learning or advanced analytics, including designing, developing and deploying data science modelsRelevant team management experience will be essentialStrong technical capabilities.

Proven expertise in developing and implementing a full range of analytical techniques to address commercial challengesProficiency in at least one statistical analysis toolProficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Java, C++, Python)Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this roleStrong written and spoken communication skillsAble to present findings to internal and external business stakeholders confidentlyBasic knowledge of data engineering principles and architecture
