About the Role
We are seeking Building Construction Supervisor to oversee daily site operations and coordinate the activities of our construction team. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with building plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a construction team of workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople
- Interpret and ensure compliance with building plans, drawings, specifications, NZ building codes, and industry standards
- Monitor construction progress, schedule adherence, and quality of workmanship
- Maintain and enforce health and safety procedures in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Arrange for and coordinate delivery of materials, tools, and equipment
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, delays, and technical challenges in consultation with project managers
- Conduct site inspections and keep records of daily activities and progress
- Provide guidance, training, and performance support to workers
- Liaise with clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders as required
Skills and Experience Required :
At least two years of construction experienceOR a relevant qualification such as NZ Diploma in Construction, NZ Certificate in Building, or an equivalent overseas qualificationStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building regulations, and site managementDemonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a construction crewExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCommitment to maintaining a safe, productive, and professional work environmentPhysically fit and able to work on active construction sitesHow to Apply :
