Senior Sales Assistant - Tauriko

Animates is New Zealand's leading pet care company with 47 pet specialty retail stores, 33 grooming salons and 15 vet clinics, growing.

As part of our fast growing Tauriko store you'll enjoy working with an experienced and passionate team.

You'll also have access to local amenities including free parking.

This is a permanent part time position, working 21 hour sper week as follows :

Monday :

• am - 6.15pm
Friday :
• am - 6.15pm
Saturday :
• am -5.15pm

What will I be doing?

This isn't your average customer service role.

At Animates, every conversation you have and every product you recommend makes a real difference in the lives of pets and their people.

Our values-led culture and comprehensive training will help you develop genuine expertise — from offering tailored nutrition advice and recommending the perfect toy for each breed, to knowing which fish make the best tank-mates (and so much more!).

You'll also get involved in a variety of daily tasks, including fulfilling eCommerce orders, and should be comfortable lifting heavier items, such as bags of pet food.

What we're looking for :

You take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, always looking for ways to go above and beyond.

You're proactive in finding solutions, eager to learn and grow, and bring a positive, team-focused attitude to everything you do.

To be successful you'll also have :

Experience in a customer facing role (retail experience preferred)

Physical ability to lift stock (up to 20kg)

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays

A positive attitude and dedication to being a valuable team member
