What you will be doing – We are seeking an experienced Social Media & Marketing Manager to join our AKL Marketing team and become the 'go-to' for some of our essential customer facing business units.

In this role you'll be responsible for delivering successful Social Media thinking and Marketing Management that meets our customers' needs and achieves our key metrics - working smarter to deliver meaningful connections with our key audiences across relevant channels.
To achieve this, you'll be working with internal stakeholders, external agencies and partners to create and bring alive marketing activity and campaigns that deliver the results.
You will be an ambassador for AKL ensuring that the work you develop meets our high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
Effectively manage all social media platforms on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the execution of key social media campaigns - you'll need to be as comfortable with the backend of the platforms as you are with the front.
Develop and implement our social media strategy - managing channels, understanding the audience data, developing content, scheduling and posting, providing operational support and tracking the results.
Use analytics and performance measurement tools to monitor, refine, and evaluate the effectiveness of social and marketing programs, optimising results
Keep a watching brief for ways we could improve - optimising social media platforms and ensure we are 'culturally' relevant within our brand guidelines
Develop and execute the marketing requirements for a selection of business units with a cohesive strategy and a marketing communications plan across owned, earned and paid channels
Actively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships
Collaborate with the wider marketing team, our design and UX specialists and external agency partners to produce fully integrated campaigns from concept to final execution
Plan, manage, and execute marketing projects within budget and on time
Improve audience reach and engagement to deliver and drive business performance.
Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and actively seek to enhance the ongoing evolution of the brand strategy
What you'll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need :
3-5+ years Marketing experience – strategy, planning, execution, measurement of campaigns, plus 3+ years' experience in creating, developing and managing social media content
Strong copywriting skills, excellent attention to detail and time management.
Adaptive and flexible to the changing circumstances of a 'live' day to day operation – calm under pressure.
Effective collaboration and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to confidently present ideas to all stakeholders
Curious and interested in sourcing and activating relevant Customer insights- either from our own data sources or externally
Experience in social media content creation and management
Good working knowledge of technical digital marketing
Technical knowledge including Meta Business, Instagram Insights, Google Analytics and Adobe CC
Experience with Google Analytics, coupled with the ability to create and understand reporting
