Are you a strategic, creative and results-driven marcomms leader? Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and deliver innovative strategies for Auckland’s most exciting events and experiences with a focus on the city centre.

About you

You’re a collaborative, innovative marketing and communications professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for making a difference. You excel at building relationships and are expert in managing marketing, communications and digital projects. With a passion for turning insights into impactful campaigns, you’re adaptable and results-focused and love working with diverse teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Your Impact

Lead integrated marcomms campaigns for a dynamic portfolio—including city centre, events, experiences, visitor attraction and more.

Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and optimise results.

Champion research and insights to position Auckland and its brand for success.

Manage budgets, campaigns and partnerships to deliver and report on best-in-class outcomes.

Collaborate across and beyond the Auckland Council Group to provide a fully integrated marketing and communications offering.

You’ll bring

Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or public relations and / or 7+ years’ experience in marketing or publicity / communications.

A strategic, analytical and creative approach with proven ability to deliver integrated campaigns.

Skills in project planning, financial management and building strong relationships.

Proficiency with digital marketing tools, creative software and collaboration platforms like Asana.

Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
