This role prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a high-performing and collaborative workplace.Location : Port Robinson, ONRESPONSIBILITIES : Lead daily operations with a primary focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery and production requirementsProvide clear and professional leadership, offering constructive feedback and guidance to Production AssociatesIdentify process improvement opportunities and support problem solving initiatives within the manufacturing processChampion the implementation and adherence to 5S methodology to maintain a clean and organized workspaceDevelop and implement best practices to enhance departmental activities and overall efficiencyEnforce company policies and procedures, including necessary disciplinary actions when requiredEstablish and maintain a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of production for employeesEnsure product quality through Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other problem solving and corrective action methodsMeet customer delivery requirements, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and adhere to budgetary guidelinesAssist with maintenance in document control and purchasing requirements where requiredEnsure compliance with the Collective Agreement, particularly in the areas of discipline, job posting, seniority, and overtime distributionConduct monthly health and safety talks to reinforce a culture of safety awareness and complianceOversee health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulations, performing regular safety inspections, and addressing potential hazards promptly.Participate in the recruitment process, including candidate evaluation and selectionFulfill any additional duties assigned by senior managementREQUIREMENTS : Previous experience in Automotive / Defence / OEM production facilityIn-depth knowledge Heat Treat and Heat Treat EquipmentExcellent communication skills for effective team coordination and informationStrong problem solving abilities to address production challenges promptly and efficientlyHighly motivated and the ability to inspire and train team members effectivelyFamiliarity with Labour Relations and working within the framework of a Collective AgreementProficiency in understanding and implementing the Occupational Health Act and its RegulationsHolds a valid First-Aid / CPR CertificateWHY JOIN US!
