About The Role
New Zealand's Government Houses are national taonga - historic residences that support the Governor-General in their constitutional, ceremonial, and community leadership roles. The Government House team provides support to the Governor-General, while ensuring the Houses and their grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
As the Procurement and Contract Specialist , you'll lead and manage end-to-end procurement and contract management for both Government Houses. You'll oversee a wide range of projects, from maintenance and conservation to capital works, ensuring value for money, compliance with procurement frameworks, and the continued protection of these nationally significant assets.
This is a hands-on role that combines technical procurement knowledge with strong relationship and project management skills. You'll work closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver results in a unique and high-profile heritage environment.
