This role plays a key part in delivering a seamless facility management service across our community facilities, open spaces, and public buildings throughout the DevonportTakapuna and Kaipptik i Local Board areas.
Youbll be at the centre of day-to-day operations responding to maintenance requests, coordinating contractors, ensuring compliance, and supporting our mission to provide safe, welcoming, and well-maintained spaces for our communities.
Responsibilities
Coordinate maintenance requests and support the smooth delivery of facility services.
Manage and monitor contractor performance to ensure high standards and value for money.
Ensure health and safety requirements and operational risks are well managed.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and local stakeholders to deliver great outcomes.
Champion sustainability and continuous improvement in how we care for our community assets.

What youll bring / Requirements
Youll bring a proactive, organised approach and enjoy working in a dynamic, community-focused environment.
Ideally, youll have some experience or strong transferable skills in facilities management, maintenance coordination, or a related operational role.
Were looking for someone who can build great relationships, solve problems under pressure, and keep things moving behind the scenes to ensure our community spaces remain at their best.
Ideal competencies
Experience or strong interest in facilities or asset management
Understanding of health and safety and compliance practices
Confidence managing contractors and service providers
Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder-management skills
A collaborative, customer-focused approach
