About the role
Based in Mangere, we have a challenging and exciting position available for an Air Quality Environmental Technician to join our team.
As part of your role, you will help us collect accurate, reliable, and consistent environmental monitoring data and to support the provision of air pollution monitoring services to clients.
You will be using sampling systems and instruments at multiple sites throughout New Zealand to evaluate air pollutants at industrial discharge stacks and collecting odour samples on other facilities like wastewater treatment plants.
You will enjoy an active role environment and working at heights.
A full training programme will be provided.
Responsibilities
Undertaking environmental sampling at multiple sites across New Zealand.
Performing calibration of instrumentation.
Monitoring environmental parameters.
Provisioning of sample analysis and data processing activities.
Providing effective site investigations, sample planning programmes for monitoring.
About you

In This Role You Will Bring
A Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Engineering or similar.
Excellent computer literacy including good Word and Excel skills.
Previous experience in air emission monitoring or environmental monitoring would be hugely beneficial but not necessary.
Good technical report writing skills.
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to travel within New Zealand.
Full driving license
If successful you will be required to complete a pre-employment drug test and medical.
You must also be legally entitled to work long-term in New Zealand.
