PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The primary role of Store Manager is to determine, plan, lead, communicate, organize, and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve the highest possible standards as well as achieving and maintaining gross profit, and wage targets.
To maximize sales by determining product ranging and set up a local promotional Programme whilst managing expenses (to ensure cashflow) as well as minimize out of stocks and stock related wastages (e.g. expired / damaged stocks). To meet all required health safety and food safety compliance regulations.
Key Tasks involve :
Oversee store operations including determining and managing product selection, stock level management.Formulate and implement purchasing policies and set pricing in line with company guidelines.Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to promote the store's products and ensure competitiveness.Manage financial processes such as invoices, cash handling, and weekly reporting.Prepare and manage the store budget, including monitoring sales, costs, and payroll, to ensure financial targets are met.Lead and develop the team through meetings, rostering, training, performance reviews, recruitment and payroll, ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws.Ensure health, safety, and food safety compliance, conducting inspections and audits.Set service standards, handling customer enquiries and complaints.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have either a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an NZQF qualification of Level 5 or higher from New Zealand (or an equivalent overseas qualification).Days Required : Must be available to work both weekend days, one early morning shift (5 a.m. start) and one night shift (8 p.m. finish) per week. Roster change from time to time as this is a seven-day business, flexibility with rostering is essential.Applicants with previous experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supermarkets will be given preference.HOW TO APPLY
