Ongoing temp position with possible long term prospects
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our client's Waikato based team and take the lead in establishing robust equipment hierarchies and maintenance frameworks from the ground up.
In this role, you'll play a key part in building the foundation for equipment reliability, ensuring that assets are set up for long-term performance, safety, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement early-stage equipment hierarchies for new and existing assets
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to gather and organise equipment data
Create systems and standards that support effective maintenance planning and reliability improvement
Identify opportunities to optimise equipment performance and prevent downtime
Support continuous improvement initiatives within asset management and reliability engineering
About YouYou're someone who enjoys structure and planning, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving how things work.
You think ahead, communicate well with both technical and non-technical teams, and take pride in setting up systems that make operations run smoothly.
The person we are seeking will demonstrate :
5+ years mechanical or electrical engineering experience
A strong understanding of maintenance planning, and asset / equipment management
An analytical and organised approach, with strong problem-solving skills
Confidence working with data, documentation, and technical systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g. CMMS)
