This is an exciting time to join us and lead a small team delivering significant changes and improvements across our services. You will be leading strategic work planning and governance across the organisation and championing enterprise-wide collaboration and data-driven decision‑making.

- Provide governance, oversight, and continuous improvement for enterprise work management (EWM) and portfolio, programme, and project management (P3M).
- Collaborate with senior leaders to embed best practices and drive organisational maturity.
- Deliver strategic advice and insights to governance groups and executive leadership.
- Champion a culture of innovation, data‑driven decision‑making, and enterprise‑wide collaboration.
- Support planning and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with council priorities.

Proven leadership experience in portfolio, programme, and project management.Skilled in embedding frameworks and driving change across complex organisations.Strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.Strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.Politically aware and culturally sensitive, with a collaborative approach.Resilient and adaptable in fast‑paced, evolving environments.Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience
Relevant degree qualification.Project / Programme management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP).Minimum 9 years’ experience in project, programme, and / or portfolio management.Proven experience in people leadership and organisational transformation.A postgraduate qualification and change management certification is desirable, but not essential.Mō te tīma | About the team
