Chef

Haven Hospitality Limited trading as Hidden Lake Hotel in Cambridge is seeking 1x permanent chef to join their team.

We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours work per week. The successful applicant must be available weekends and public holidays. You will be required to work split shifts which include breakfast service, followed by dinner service for that appliable day.

Remuneration ranges from $26 - $30 per hour.

To be successful for this job, you will be formally trained and hold at least a level 4 qualification in cookery.

The key duties of a chef include :

• Collectively plan menus, specials and estimate food and labour costs alongside the other chefs.
• Work cooperatively with the front of house staff and other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation.
• Manage and order food supplies.
• Prepare, cook and serve a variety of dishes and other items according to the restaurant’s menu, standards and dietary requirements.
• Monitor quality of food being produced.
• Ensure there is an adequate supply of ingredients (including ensuring a sufficient amount of prepped food).
• Undertake and enforce hygiene regulations, including monitoring fridge and storage conditions.
