This is an opportunity for clinicians interested in providing a general obstetrics and gynaecology service for a well-defined community within one of New Zealand's most attractive areas.About the Team / Service / LocationThis position is located at Wairarapa Hospital, where gynaecology and secondary level obstetric services are provided.
There is an average of 600 births per annum.
Tertiary hospital services, including delivery of premature labours below 34 weeks, are provided by Wellington hospital.

Innovative rostering options can be developed to suit individual preferences whilst maintaining the requisite level of cover.
Preference will be given to applicants who already hold Vocational Registration however applicants must be eligible to apply for Vocational Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.The appointee will be registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration with the Medical Council to enable them to practice medicine within New Zealand.The employee will hold a higher qualification appropriate to the practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
