Our team come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences which all come together to support the fabric of our mahi and our unique purpose.If you have the following skills and attributes, you could make a great Corrections Officer :
Relevant experience within a people focussed role ie Security, Police, Military, Healthcare or similar where you have built an understanding of how to facilitate positive outcomes for others.
Along with your unique skills and perspective we also need you to have the following :
Pre-employment checks are also required and include : Drug test, full disclosure criminal conviction check (Clean Slate Act does not apply), medical assessment, a physical fitness assessment and reference checks.
We provide fully paid training, you will commence training on our CODP (Corrections Officer Development Pathway) which involves an initial week's induction onsite, five weeks at our National Learning Centre in Wellington then six weeks back at your site, before graduating and from there, the learning journey will be ongoing.
