Starting salary : $96,307 - $113,303 + Kiwisaver

The role | Te tunga
This role is permanent, based in Wellington.
Reporting to the Manager – Technology Delivery
There are several key accountabilities in this role.
Yourfocus is on leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of digital solutions within the Statistics DevOps team.You'llhave input into technical roadmaps and solution strategies and build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver impactful insights.
This role would suit someone who can bring :
Experience working with data lake environment, such as Cloudera or Databricks
Solid Microsoft SQL programming experience
Knowledge of different database systems, such as RDBS,NoSql
Ability to work in Linux and windows operation systems
Experience in coding, testing and development of backend systems
Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming
Knowledge / familiarity with the DevOps model, in-house standards, and best practice
A proven ability toestablishcollaborative relationships within team and with business
Proven ability to own problems / issues and drive them through to resolution / mitigation
Proactive reporting of progress on work assignments (including delays) toappropriate managers
Active engagement in up-skilling innew technologies
Knowledge / familiarity or a commitment to learn / understandTeAoMaori, including ensuring opportunities at Stats NZ reach theMaoricommunity.
