Support Worker

Overview

As a Support Worker in Nelson you will be working within the community supporting a variety of individuals to live happy and meaningful lives.

A day in this role will see you providing support with personal care plans and household duties.

Tasks will include assistance with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support, hosiery application; housework and meal preparation supports.

Responsibilities

Support individuals to live independently and with dignity within their community.

Assist with personal care according to individual care plans.

Provide household support including meal preparation and housekeeping.

Support with mobility, showering, dressing, and medication administration as required.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have :

Be professional, honest and reliable.

Be friendly in your approach, passionate about working with people, and providing a high level of care for our clients.

Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending, crouching, and long periods of time on your feet.

Hold a full New Zealand drivers licence, and have your own reliable transport.

Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Have received three covid19 vaccinations and be able to provide evidence of your covid19 vaccination record.
