Join our Christchurch Supply Chain Operations team as a Materials Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector and play a vital role in keeping our fleet — and our customers' aircraft — flying safely and efficiently.How you'll make an impactAs a QA Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all incoming aircraft parts, materials and components — including those externally repaired — meet strict compliance standards before being released for use.

You'll be the gatekeeper of quality, balancing meticulous inspection with the urgency of operational timeframes.ResponsibilitiesInspecting and certifying aircraft parts and components to ensure full compliance with regulatory and company standardsReviewing documentation such as Service Bulletins and approved data to validate product integrityManaging tight processing deadlines to support timely aircraft availabilityCollaborating with internal teams to resolve quality issues and maintain operational flowUpholding safety, performance and customer service standards in every taskManaging quarantined articles to resolutionWhat we're looking forYou'll thrive in this role if you bring : A completed Aircraft Engineering trade or equivalent qualification, plus 5 years aviation trade experienceAuthorisation to certify aircraft or aircraft componentsExceptional attention to detail and a strong quality focusProficiency in SAP and technical documentation reviewClear communication skills across all levels of the businessA proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit teamWhat we can offer youAt Air New Zealand, we look after our people.
