OverviewHCB are currently looking for an experienced Legal Assistant / Secretary to support a Solicitor in the growing Commercial Property department at our Lichfield office.Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintain Fee Earner's diaries arranging meetings and appointmentsDeal with routine client correspondence and queriesOpening and closing filesAttend to clients both in person and on the telephone in a manner in keeping with the firm's standard of client careCreate and maintain client records on the firm's database ensuring that all correspondence and file notes are recorded on the system, in accordance with HCB's and Lexcel's requirementsProduce client correspondence and enclosures for mailing including client billsEnsure the confidentiality of the client and firm's information and documentation at all timesMaintain client hard copy files including copying, storage and retrieval of informationRequest payments and record receipts of client moniesProduce client correspondence via dictated notesSubmitting SDLT forms to HMRCSubmitting applications to register properties with Land RegistryAssisting with drafting Contract Packs, Transfer Forms and other legal documentsReception Cover as and when needed / advisedPerson SpecificationThe Ideal Candidate Should HavePrevious experience working as a Legal Assistant / SecretaryGreat communication skills and an ability to work well with othersAbility to work under time constraints and prioritise work loadAble to handle sensitive matters discreetlyGood organisation skills with a methodical approachSelf-motivated and proactiveDeliver excellent service to clients and colleaguesDetailsImmediate start availableHours : Monday to Friday - 9 : 00 to 5 : 15 (on site)Attractive salary dependent on experience26 days holiday + BHsPension schemeHoliday bonus schemeFirm funded eye testsTo apply for this position, please email your CV to Lisa Syrett -
