Kitchen Design Team Member

OverviewMitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt is looking for a Kitchen Design Team Member to inspire our customers through the process of designing their dream kitchen.In this role you will be responsible for : Consulting with customers on needs, design choices and outcomes for their projects, including budget constraintsSuggesting options to inspire customers and provide alternative options to achieve the desired specificationsOperating the Kitchen design modelling system to produce designs and drawings for the customersProviding accurate quotations for customers based on agreed layout plans and drawingsIdeally the successful candidates will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, some experience in design, and have an enthusiastic 'can do' attitude!

In addition, we are ideally seeking : Great enthusiasm for customer service and salesGreat work ethic, a can do attitude, and a team playerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsConfidence using a computer and the ability to learn new systems quicklyStrong attention to detail, with the ability to adapt and be flexible2-3 years' experience in the design environment (ideal)CAD / Winner design experience (ideal)Knowledge of the wider construction and design industriesGood drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awarenessProject management skillsAbility to think laterally, displaying an ability to identify solutionsKitchens are one of the key inspirational areas within our store with an exciting range of products.

This role gives you an opportunity to use your flair to design and sell our kitchen range, helping our customers in all aspects of their kitchen makeover.

Whether it is helping our customers design their new kitchen from scratch or select the right flat-pack options, along with the right kitchen appliances to suit their needs.We have a permanent full time position available, roster to be confirmed.
