Reporting to the Category Planner -Salty, this full time, permanent role is based at our iconic Wiri manufacturing plant.
We are seeking an experienced Material Planner. This position plays a pivotal role in leveraging the strategic partnership with suppliers to ensure procurement requirements are met within requirements of quality, delivery and cost. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, external suppliers to execute the materials plan and achieve shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule and inventory records in SAP.
- Evaluate the accuracy of item master records – monthly master data reviews.
- Ensure inventory goals and objectives are met and effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventories.
- Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer service.
- Support with NPD projects – manage all requirements to make projects successful.
- Manage lead times and resolve any supply chain disruptions swiftly.
- Support teammates and contribute to the overall success of the materials planning function.
What you’ll bring to the role
Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain / logistics or similar will be an advantage.Minimum of 5 years relevant planning or materials planning experience.Previous experience in a supply chain / FMCG / manufacturing environment is preferred.Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is an extra tick.Highly organized with effective planning and prioritising skills.Problem solving with a proactive approach to resolution / escalation of issues.Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.Drive for results, ability to respond quickly and work under pressure – while maintaining a positive team environment.Confidence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Resilience, positivity, and a solutions-focused approach.What can you expect in return?
