Reporting to the Category Planner – Salty, this full‑time, permanent role is based at our iconic Wiri manufacturing plant.

Here at Griffin's Snacks, we’re proud of our heritage and being New Zealand’s largest snack food company, producing many iconic Kiwi brands, including Griffin’s, Huntley and Palmers, ETA and Nice & Natural. At our Wiri plant we produce our muesli, protein and nut bars and we’re also the home of the Ripples, Uppercuts, Kettle Chip Company and Snackachangi potato chip ranges.

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner. This position plays a pivotal role in leveraging the strategic partnership with suppliers to ensure procurement requirements are met within requirements of quality delivery and cost.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who can foster strong connections by collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams, including production, procurement and logistics, external suppliers. Your ability to build genuine rapport ensures smooth execution of the materials plan, as you seamlessly integrate efforts across departments to achieve the shared goal.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule and inventory records in SAP.
• Evaluate the accuracy of item master records – monthly master data review.
• Ensuring inventory goals and objectives are met and effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventory.
• Ensuring uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer service.
• Supporting with NPD projects – manage all requirements to make projects successful.
• Managing lead times and resolving any supply chain disruptions swiftly.
• Supporting your teammates and contributing to the overall success of the materials planning function.
