Responsibilities
- Responsible for maximising total revenue and profitability across a portfolio of hotels within both Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour and Sofitel Wellington. This role plays a key part in developing and executing revenue management strategies that align with each property’s positioning, the brand’s marketing direction, and regional business objectives— all while meeting customer needs and market demand.
- Working closely with General Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Departmental Managers, the Cluster Revenue Manager ensures all revenue management processes are effectively implemented across the cluster. They translate the GM’s strategy into daily actions, monitor performance, update forecasts and pricing, and proactively alert hotel management when market conditions deviate from strategic plans.
- This role is both analytical and strategic—combining data‑driven decision‑making with commercial acumen to optimise pricing, distribution, and inventory across multiple hotels. By implementing best practices in revenue management and maintaining strong collaboration with operational leaders, the Cluster Revenue Manager helps each hotel achieve and exceed its turnover and profitability targets.
- Implement multi‑brand revenue management methods within the cluster to maximise turnover in line with brand, regional, and market strategies.
- Ensure all revenue management processes and systems are in place and consistently applied across the portfolio.
- Execute the General Manager’s strategy daily— including pricing, forecasting, and group quotations—and communicate market deviations promptly.
- Drive performance to achieve and surpass each property’s operational turnover budget.
- Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and distribution channel effectiveness to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment of commercial objectives and strategic priorities.
Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience in revenue management roles.Proven ability to work independently while also thriving in collaborative team environments.Exceptional analytical skills and ability to make strategic decisions that enhance revenue growth.Proficient in revenue management principles.IdeaS Revenue Management Platform experience highly desirable.Strong understanding of the distribution landscape, online travel agencies, and emerging market trends.A collaborative, forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for elevating revenue management as a respected and valued community of practice with key internal and external stakeholders.Being curious and open‑minded.Benefits
