Trade & Retail Sales | Christchurch

A leading NZ owned home decorating business! Work in a modernly designed showroom backed by quality and innovative products!

With further expansion of the brand across NZ planned, this is a great opportunity to kick-start your career within a retail and trade-based home decorating industry, based in Christchurch Central!

What’s in it for you?

$28 - $30+ p / h depending on experience
Days of work - Monday - Friday (between 7am - 4 : 30 pm) + rotating Saturday 8am - 12pm (40-45 hours)

The Job :

As a retail and trade assistant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to :

Greeting and engaging with retail and trade customers

Ensuring a high level of store cleanliness and presentation is maintained

Driving sales & KPI’s through conversations with customers

Opening and closing store, banking, cashup, stock management

Physically fit and able to lift heavy items of 30 kgs

Eager to learn and grow your career, as there is an opportunity for growth for the right person

Ideal skills and experience required :

Ideally, have 3+ years of experience in the Paint or Trade industry or other transferable sales or customer service skills

Turn up to work with a positive can-do attitude every day

Excellent communication and people skills with a genuine ability to motivate those around you and work as part of a team

Ability to self-motivate and think outside the box, bringing innovative ideas to the table
