About the Role
We are looking for a Nurse Educator to join our team and
provide clinical expertise, education and support to our large and diverse
nursing staff.
As a Nurse Educator you will be
part of the Senior Nursing Team.
You will be responsible for :
incorporate evidence based and best practice principles related to patient

closely with the Nurse Manager and the Senior Nursing team to identify

The Nurse Educator role offers the
opportunity for both personal and professional growth.
About Service
Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a tertiary level 3 ICU
based in the Waipapa building and currently resourced for 25 beds.
We are
a multidisciplinary team who see 1,800 patients annually covering
cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, paediatric and all general
specialty patients requiring intensive care.
About You
You will be an effective
communicator and your approachable manner will find you acting as a clinical
resource and support person for both new and experienced staff.
You will demonstrate your ability
to contribute to the professional development of nursing (including ARA
students) throughout the ICU and work in collaboration with Ara in the delivery
of the Graduate Certificate in Critical Care papers.
The Nurse Educator will
also support Post Grad university study and other clinical areas.
You will be self-directed with
excellent time management and organisation skills and be familiar with change
management principles and processes.
Your professional and supportive nature
will be an asset to our team.
Your excellent interpersonal
skills and your ability to adjust to a variety of adult learning styles will be
imperative to this role.
This position also encompasses a component of pastoral
care to emotionally support our staff.
The successful candidate will be
