About
the Role
We
are looking for Registered Nurses to join our Ward B8 team who are passionate about
patient centred care and are keen to advance their nursing skills and
knowledge.
We have one full-time permanent position available and two fixed-term positions available covering parental leave.

Role 1 : 1.0 FTE (40hrs per week)
Role 2 : 0.9 FTE (36hrs per week from March
Role 3 : 0.9FTE (36hrs per week from Feb
We
have a great team who operate in a very collegial, inclusive environment with
the multidisciplinary team, which will help enhance your learning.
No two days
are the same when you work with a diverse patient group with complex presenting
conditions.
Ward B8 is also a Dedicated Education Unit and we have a Progressive
Care Unit which also provides an opportunity to expand your nursing and
observation skills.
About
the Service
Ward
B8 is a busy, acute ward caring for patients with neurological conditions
including; brain tumours, head injuries, spinal tumours, movement disorders and
seizures.
As the largest inpatient neuroscience facility in the South Island it
is a busy medical and surgical environment caring for a complex patient group
with a diverse range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Our
large multidisciplinary team are a skilled, passionate group of specialists
focused on advancing care that will improve clinical outcomes for our patient
group.
About
you
We
are looking for Registered Nurses with recent Neurosurgery / Neurology or
Surgical experience.
You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal
skills and the ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary
team environment.
