What You’ll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert in health, safety, and environment (HSE) and provide expert advice to leaders and employees in line with best practice and New Zealand legislation.
- Lead the development and execution of a proactive safety culture across ITW Construction; prepare clear and accurate safety reports for management and communicate safety performance to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct thorough investigations of all accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the Safety Management System (SMS) is regularly audited for compliance with relevant regulations and standards; review and improve systems based on feedback, audits, and incident reviews.
- Collaborate with ITW Construction Business leaders to foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership and practical guidance on compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement programs related to safe handling, storage, and transport of dangerous goods, including proper manual handling techniques.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in HSE with readiness to step up to a Manager position.Safety-first mindset under pressure or challenge.Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.Strong understanding of New Zealand safety laws and regulations.Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems and their application to health and safety management.Ability to drive a Safety Culture within the New Zealand workforce.Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with business leaders to achieve shared goals.Experience in dangerous goods handling, psychological safety, compliance, and related safety practices and procedures.Ability to simplify complex issues and deliver focused outcomes.Develop and implement Health and Safety training and induction processes and modules.Health and Safety Committee facilitation experience.Why Join ITW
