They are the face of the SPCA in their communities, working to create real and sustainable change for the wellbeing of animals.

The Centre's are run by a bunch of passionate people, from Centre Managers to Animal Attendants, who prioritise animal welfare and community connection.ABOUT THE ROLEWe have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Services Coordinatorto join our Animal Services team.This role is -Permanent, part-time (28 hours)Monday, Friday, Saturday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm and Tuesday 11.00 am – 3.00 pmHamilton basedIn this role you get to see the best and the worst.

It is a rewarding, fulfilling, and essential role, as well as demanding, heartbreaking and physical.

It takes a special kind of person to do this role but what you get back can really fill your cup.You will be the first point of contact for our customers, volunteers, foster parents, colleagues, stakeholders and community, for both the human and animal variety.You will answer queries face to face, over the phone and via email in a helpful, timely and professional manner.

You will be the hub, the oracle, the person who knows the things at our Centre.

We want our customers to know we are responsive, effective and provide accurate information and most importantly, that we care about them and their animals.You will process animal adoptions including discussions with potential adopters to match the right animals with the right person.

You will triage animal ambulance calls, schedule foster pick up and return appointments and induct our new foster parents.ABOUT YOUYou're an animal advocate, you are passionate about animal welfare, care and education.

Our vision, purpose and values resonate with you and you have a love for working with both humans and animals.You will also have –Proven experience in customer service, and effective administrative skills with strong attention to detailAnimal handling experience and knowledgeExperience working with volunteers and foster parentsThe ability to think on your feetA positive and friendly approach to customers, animals and team membersDemonstrate empathy and resilienceAble to prioritize and effectively manage workloads.Have excellent computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programsExperience working with the community in a customer facing roleHave the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have a love for working with both people and animals.Have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle conflict situations and a friendly and positive attitude.Experience working in a busy environment where multitasking is keyOUR PURRKSOur team is full of passionate, purpose-driven people who love animals and want to make the world a kinder and more compassionate place.
