Verran Primary School is seeking a committed and collaborative part-time learning support coordinator (LSC) to join our supportive and inclusive school community.
This role is central to improving outcomes for akonga who require additional support through effective coordination, early identification, and strong partnerships with whanau and external agencies.
Key responsibilities include :
Leading and coordinating learning support processes across the school
Working alongside teachers to identify learning needs and implement appropriate interventions
Facilitating collaborative meetings with whanau, specialists, and support services
Monitoring progress and ensuring smooth transitions for students
Supporting teachers with assessment, planning, and evidence-based strategies
Contributing to a culturally responsive, inclusive school environment.
We are looking for someone who :
Builds strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and whanau
Has sound knowledge of learning support, neurodiversity, and inclusive practice
Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrates cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
