Learning support coordinator

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher. English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori.

We are seeking a focused, energetic leader of learning who understands the diverse and unique needs of emerging adolescence and our multicultural community. You must have a strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, culturally responsive and relational pedagogy. The ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff and our community would be essential.

This permanent role will :

• Support ākonga / students through building an inclusive school or kura and cluster environment which encourages participation, progress and successful transitions
• Support kaiako / teachers in class and in kura to lift their capability to better meet the needs of learners, and to strengthen their connections with early learning services
• Support parents and whānau to build better relationships of understanding around learning support and establishing points of contact if needed
