The opportunity
Te Puni Kokiri leads policy advice to the Government on Maori development, and Iwi and Maori relations with the Crown.
To do this effectively we must position ourselves to elevate our monitoring and mentoring responsibilities and emphasise our role in holding other agencies to account for delivery of public services to, for and with Maori.
Our Iwi and Maori Relations function is looking for two Manukura | Manager, Iwi and Maori Relations.
These positions sit within our Regional teams, report to the General Manager, Iwi and Maori Relations, and are full-time, permanent opportunities.
Salary range : $133,248 - $166,560 based on skills and experience.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have :
Demonstrated technical expertise and leadership experience in Iwi and Maori relations.
Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
A deep understanding of the Treaty settlement policy framework.
Experience with Maori Crown policy perspectives and frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise in historical and contemporary treaty issues.
